I tried being honest, but that left me nowhere. I watched the station, saw the bus pulling through, and I don't mind saying a part of me left with you. Winter in Tokyo was nothing like a winter in New York. When she’d first moved, Zo had been rather surprised by the lack of snow, as well as the fact that it wasn’t as cold. Sure, it still got cold enough to be a bother, but she could easily deal with this. Today seemed warmer than previous days. The sun was bright, and there weren’t too many clouds in the sky. If she were back home, it would have been the complete opposite of this right now. It seemed to be an ideal day to go out for a walk. After she’d gotten a large coffee at her usual café, where she often found herself admiring the very attractive girl that was usually working when she was there, Zo headed toward central park. The last thing she needed was to be surrounded by bustling people in shopping centers. She’d found herself having a hard time dealing with people lately, and she blamed Jaden before blaming herself. After all, it was his fault for avoiding her so much. Every time she’d tried to approach him between classes, he would walk away, and if she texted him, he never replied. As far as she knew, she hadn’t done anything wrong. But, out of the blue, he didn’t want anything to do with her, and so, for the past couple of days, she just stopped. She hadn’t tried to talk to him or see him. Instead, she spent her time with her other friends, but she was uncomfortable doing so. It wasn’t that she didn’t enjoy being with them, it was just that it hadn’t been what she wanted to be doing at the time. "What did I do?" she whispered to nobody after taking a gulp of coffee. She hated thinking like that: asking what she did wrong, blaming herself, and she did her best to avoid it. No, she thought, shaking her head, this isn’t about what I did. It’s about him. He’s the one being a complete jerk for no good reason. She sighed heavily and took another gulp of coffee. "But I just wish he’d tell me…" she thought aloud as she sat down on a bench. jaden, 368 words, outfit, hope it’s decent, sorry it's short |
