Gotten bad grades? Tackled her very young and small cousin immediately after meeting her? Sure, these things had been done, but nothing had ever roamed in the area of risking death by the hand of her mother. But life as a Senshi required various demanding things that were outside of her normal lifestyle. No longer did she have the comfort of being a young, unaware teenage girl walking carelessly through Tokyo. She now how had to constantly investigate, be on guard, and know when to fight. And now, it was time to defy her mother's orders of not going to the Masquerade Ball being hosted for all of Tokyo to enjoy, and sneak away to the party of a lifetime. To investigate of course. Granted, Ji-Yeon hadn't given her any orders to do so, but it was time to take initiative. She had to think outside of the box of commands and go for what felt right, and this 'ball' was absolutely perfect. The anonymous host, the overall strangeness of it. Though it wasn't a total loss that Selene was also getting the opportunity to dress up and dance with mysterious handsome strangers until her heart's content. Though she couldn't exactly jump outside her window with a clean escape and an extravagant ball gown, she was grateful for the transformation pen she'd recently gotten for the sake of... investigation. She gave one last glance at her bed, the lumps underneath the blanket suggestive of a sleeping girl, before swinging one leg out of her open window. She gazed at the ground below, guessing that the drop was about twenty feet. Even with the surprising new agility granted by her Senshi form, she wasn't nearly confident enough to simply jump down. She dropped another leg over the edge. Taking a deep breath, she clung onto the edge of her window, resting her feet securely onto the drain pipe that ran along the wall. After ten feet of inching down she felt the confidence to finally complete the drop. She gave a quick prayer to anybody that might have been listening before letting go of the pipe and making a clean drop onto her feet. She landed with a light thud, wincing at the noise, but wasted no time taking off. Minutes later she found herself in Ikebukro, flagging down a cab for the sake of her feet. She shuffled into the cab, her hand resting on her jean pocket, feeling the bump of the transformation pen as a quick security check. After coughing the money to cover the ride Selene hopped out of the car. People lined the streets in ballgowns, tuxedos, and masks elegant enough to strike up a raging amount of jealousy within Selene. She shifted her gaze from side to side before ducking behind a corner. Doing one last sweep of the area she pulled out her transformation pen. "Right..." she mumbled, holding it in front of her. She cleared her throat and gazed intently at the object. "Moon Power!!!" Suddenly the world around her began to spin, wrapping her body in warmth. She could feel the clothes on her body change and transform from shorts and a t-shirt into a flowing gown. She gasped at the change, but as quickly as it had started, it was over. She wasted no time and ran out from behind her corner, quickly making her way towards the party across the street. Her heels clacked against the street, and her dress flowed freely around her. She could feel a smile tugging against the edges of her mouth, but hurried inside regardless of the stares and whispers her outfit were gaining her. As soon as she stepped inside the warmth of the building wrapped itself around her bare shoulders and she sighed with relief. She continued on into the ballroom, a determined look on her face, until she saw a long mirror reveal to herself just how she looked. The gown she wore was long, white, silky, and absolutely gorgeous. The floral designs that covered it were elegant, and dotted with pearls and what she suspected to be diamonds, or at least very convincing imitations. Her hair fell freely down her shoulders in light blonde curls, and the mask on her face was silver and matched the design on her dress. Selene stood there minute upon minute before snapping her gaze from her reflection. "My... god," she gasped. She slowly backed away from the mirror, slowly shaking her head as she did. She tore herself away from the long mirror and finally made her way into the extravagant ballroom, now feeling dizzy with the spoils of her outfit. "Calm down, calm down," she chided, gaze stuck to the ground. It was unfortunate that Selene was so easily distracted. Without warning, she could feel herself slam into somebody with a much larger frame than her own. Her muscles instantly tensed up, and she it took all of her self control to lash out in instinctive horror. "Ow," she grimaced, taking a step back from the male. "I-- I mean, sorry." She could feel the heat of the blush against her cheeks already, and she took her gaze back down again. "I need to watch where I go more often, don't I?"
